And She Fell In Love With A Nikon.....

It is so true... I adore my new Nikon Camera I had such a battle with myself trying to decide between Canon and Nikon. Previously, I used a Sony which I did enjoy but they do not offer what Canon and Nikon offer. I test drove a Canon every chance I got and repeatedly questioned the straight out of camera color it always seemed a bit off yellowish in tint almost, not great. So I tried shooting in straight green grass still I felt the color wasn't right and would edit forever it felt like in Photoshop. Forget photoshop I do not believe I will be needing it as the picture above is UNEDITED HEAR ME UNEDITED amazing I know..... I used a 50-200mm lense with a hood and adore the results. So now I am a Nikon girl until someone or some other camera wants to prove itself to me. I was told multiple times its like picking a brand of Ketchup in the end they are pretty much the same. I don't know ... but I choose Del Monte and Nikon. Please enjoy the pictures!!!!

UPDATING A BUSY LIFE

My life has been crazy since the beginning of August. The wedding planning business is going wonderful I am so lucky to work for such an amazing person who truly inspires me. You should check out Ashley's blog @anaffairtorememberplanning.blogspot.com to see what has been going on. I have tons of photographs to edit, post, blogs to publish. Recently, I may have scored a golden opportunity to make and launch a website for a Ranch that Bob does work for which is very exciting for me. I did not think I could possibly take on anymore projects but here it goes ha ha. The Sew Sweet Nothing weblog is up but not updated by any means check it out at SewSweetNothings.blogspot.com. I am currently living under tulle making tons of cute skirts for the holidays. I am super excited about all my adventures. This weekend we are in Round top with the booth JUST LOVE STUFF in hopes of launching Sew Sweet Nothings with success. Sweet Riley's First Birthday is quickly approaching and I am looking forward to snagging a photo shoot of his actual birth day .... we will see. I am also very excited to announce that Jack's baby sister will be arriving the 2ND week in October by schedule C-Section. I know we are all very excited to welcome a baby girl !!!! THE FIRST GIRL !!! I can not wait to dress her in tulle and tights ha ha assuming her mom will allow it :) I am currently at my "real" job as I am typing this so I shall say Good day to all !!!!

my return from the beach...

I successfully returned from the beach it was Amazing I have tons of pictures to post but currently I am still in the process of editing. It just might take me forever to get them completed. I have been so busy with life, but that is not a complaint I am extremely blessed. Beach Was Amazing

I haven't had the time to edit all the wonderful beach pictures but I thought I might post a few of my favorites for you all to see prior to editing them I will post a more formal blog about them at a later date enjoy !!!

Very excited to be heading to the beach for some much needed rest and relaxation. Don't worry lots of new pictures will be posted when I return we have a scheduled photo shoot of Riley, Jack and possibly some new fabulous pictures of adults ha ha. I know I keep repeating that I prefer to photograph children and landscape. I am currently trying to decide which new camera I want I am leaning towards a Nikon D90 but who knows what I will end up with I will keep you posted.

These are sweet Riley's 6 month old pictures it was very hard for granny and Riley's mom Scarlet to pick just a few because so many of them turned out to be precious. I of course was no help because I am picture crazy. Here is what we ultimately came up with doing. I love the out come I think that having multiple pictures make up a big picture to be framed is a really good idea for milestone markers such as 6 month old pictures and of course 1 year old pictures. Hope you enjoy.

Meet Connor, a very adorable little boy. Connor is by all means all boy. This particular picture was taken on Connors 3rd Birthday. His mom wanted a few action shots which meant she wanted to place Connor in a new setting and allow him to play naturally while I played paparrazi and chased after him. Boy was I tired 3 year olds are hard to handle. Occasionally, Connor would notice me and stop to glare at me. He was not at all excited to have someone following him and taking pictures of him. This was by far the most challenging photography session I have ever experienced. I do not have children as one might have gathered from my post about "Precious" Riley , and after this it might be another 20 years before I feel up to the task. I hope you enjoy sweet Connor. Also these pictures capture his very first trip to Texas as Connor resides in Mississippi.

How Could You Not Smile

Are these not just the most fabulous little feet. These feet belong to my not exactly nephew Riley James Nabours. He is just precious now... but let me let you in on a secret Precious Riley wasn't precious in the beginning. His mother Scarlet bless her poor soul. Heck what I am I talking about bless my poor soul. I am the one who drove the preggers to the hospital when this little angel decided to grace us with his angry face. More on his angry face later. So it is November 1 at oh say about I don't know 1 am and I get the call that yes indeed Scarlet's water had broke or came out or what the heck ever happens. SO because I wanted this baby to come out for so very very long. I had stupidly the night before offered to pay for her (yes her) first year of college. Mind you I knew it was "a Boy" for a very long time. I made a diaper cake for a boy and bought presents for a boy, but oh how, I long for there to be a mistake and for the boy to be a girl so badly so that I could ultimately take over and dress her up in cute stuff everyday. Don't worry obviously it turned out just as the doctor said a Boy. That I don't dress up. However this boy was angry. I believe he cried for the first 8 months of his life what wait he still cries don't ask me how old he is I can't remember. His birthday is in November you add it up. Anyways Back to the Point. Aren't these feet awesome if you look close you can see the fuzz from his most precious socks that I had just snatched off his feet in the middle of the winter but, oh well. I will write a ton about this sweet boy on this site and his crazy family, Well because they tend to always be doing something "interesting".

Getting Started

I am merely someone who enjoys taking pictures. I am learning everyday new things to help improve my knowledge of photography. I did not major in Photography in College. I majored in Geography and I currently work for a Doctor. Go figure Makes no sense to me either. Most of the pictures you will find here are of family members, friends, weddings that I have helped plan with my very good friend Ashley Brockman of An Affair To Remember Planning, and of things that interest me. If you like my work and want to me to take pictures of anything for you. You are welcome to get in touch with me. I love the artsy feel of photography and I am currently studying ways to play with lighting which is very interesting. I take every Picture and play around with them in photoshop. Nothing you find here will be outrageously original just fun. Hope You enjoy looking around. TaDah.....
